Guest Speaker Bio Katherine Lavigne, Methuen Chief of Police Chief Lavigne holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Massachusetts and a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Western New England College. She is also a graduate of the Babson Command Training Program. Chief Lavigne joined the Methuen Police Department in 1990 as a patrol officer, became Sergeant in 1998, Lieutenant in 2002, Captain in 2004, temporary Chief in 2007 and permanent Chief of Police in 2008. She is the recipient of the Breaking the Glass Ceiling award from the National Center for Women in Policing.
